Our girls only residential is taking place in July 2009, and they will be heading off to: LAKE DISTRICT

Visit to the Parliament :  7th May 2009

Yes you have read it correct! Pakistani Youth Forums young people are working in partnership and will be attending the launch taking place of a Social Enterprise project based in Manchester.  The project is all about Fair Trade, working with farmers from Ethiopia who grow the Coffee beans and the company in Manchester has setup a Direct Trade with them inorder to get try and get then a fair price for the coffee beans they produce.  As you may be aware, currently the farmers in Ethiopa are only getting 3 cents for a cup of coffee but yet that cup of coffee is sold for 3 dollars in America!

(We will be bringing you more up to date information as this project grows and how young people from the PYF setup their own Social Enterprise and learn entrepreneurial skills.  We will also be bringing you photos of the event)
