Welcome to our website
Huddersfield Pakistani Community Alliance (HPCA) is registered as Company Limited by Gaurantee, established in 1998.
HPCA work falls into three main categories:
1. Addressing the issue of under representation of the
Pakistani Community in decision making.
2. Nurturing of new community leadership particularly enabling young people to
be involved and take lead on designing facilities and services which meet their
needs.
3. Developing the communities’ facilities’ and services aimed at addressing
disadvantage and deprivation.
The Huddersfield Pakistani Community Alliance provides the following services through its Internet Learning Cafe project: Internet Service; Photocopying; Faxing; Emailing; I.T. & English classes; Translation Service; Tutoring 4 children; Film editing and Photography; Bridal makeup & Henna.
The HPCA also runs its very successful youth project called Pakistani Youth Forum (the name was chosen after careful consideration, as young people from Pakistani background were not relating to services, hence the word Pakistani was used). Within the youth forumdelivery we have equal provision through providing girls only provision.
HPCA also providesprovision for the elderly members of the community. We have a drop in facility that is block booked for the elderly group only, so elders can come in make new friends, reduce isolation, learn about healthy living & healthy eating, attend excursions, learn basic exercises they can do in their homes, get body MOT check done every 6 weeks etc.
